Position information

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrical Lead will be primarily responsible for performing and supervising electrical work throughout our automated production facility. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and replacement work.
• Troubleshoot and adjust production equipment.
• Respond efficiently to service and emergency calls, as required.
• Monitor and follow up on electrical work and ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to plan and coordinate electrical work.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to source and order electrical parts and components.
• Guide and support apprentice electricians in obtaining their Class C Electrical Licence.
• Support and develop the team of electricians and electromechanics.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Management and the Health and Safety Advisor in developing and implementing internal standards and procedures (occupational health and safety, arc flash safety, etc.).
• Ensure the compliance, maintenance, and inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment used for electrical work.
• Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

• DEC (Diploma of College Studies) or DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Electromechanics or Electricity.
• Five (5) or more years of relevant experience as an electrical technician or electrician working on an automated production line.
• Hold a valid Class C Electrical Licence.
• Hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a General Contractor Licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and initiative.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
