Summary Description
The Maintenance Director is a key member of the senior management team. They oversee the overall management of activities related to the maintenance department. Their actions are proactive and aim to optimize the department’s human, financial, and technical resources.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Be accountable for compliance with the maintenance budget
· Implement innovative, proven actions to improve equipment reliability and the performance of automated production lines
· Develop the technical team and guide them toward achieving the highest maintenance standards
· Advance the preventive and predictive maintenance program
· Ensure sound day-to-day management of all activities related to the maintenance of the plant and building’s mechanical and electrical equipment
· Jointly with the finance department, the buyer, and the maintenance planner, analyze the material, human, and financial needs for projects, preventive maintenance programs, and ongoing material resources
· Actively participate in the creation and maintenance of a health and safety (H&S) culture
· Conduct checks, inspection rounds, audits, and analyses to help eliminate workplace hazards and potential risks at the source, minimize dangerous conditions, and follow up on corrective measures
· Clearly communicate the organization’s strategic objectives to the maintenance team, and ensure their execution and follow-up
· Contribute to the professional development of the team to improve their technical and practical skills

Requirements and Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
· Bilingual (French, English)
· General understanding of financial management concepts
· College diploma in a relevant field (an asset)
· Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, etc.)
· Experience in a food industry and highly automated environment an asset
