Festive sparkling cocktails for the holidays

Still not sure what to serve your guests as the holiday season draws nearer? Wow the crowd with three easy and delicious cocktails that spotlight classic seasonal flavours. You’ll be a mixologist in no time!

Gingerbread espresso martini

This cocktail will get you into the festive spirit with a single sip!

Ingredients

For the cocktail

  • 0.5 oz coffee liqueur (Kahlua or Tia Maria)
  • 0.25 oz Galliano vanilla liqueur
  • 1.5 oz infused vodka
  • Sparkling Eska water, to taste

For the infused vodka

  • 750 ml voda
  • 2.5 oz finely chopped ginger (skin on)
  • 2.5 oz chopped candied ginger
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (~7 cm each)
  • 10 cloves
  • ½ vanilla bean, split lengthwise
  • ½ cup brown sugar, well-packed
  • 1 tsp molasses

Instructions

For the infused vodka

  1. Pour all of the ingredients into an airtight container. Mix well and let sit for 48 hours.
  2. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 weeks.

For the cocktail

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well.
  2. Strain the mixture into a separate glass, then remove the ice from the shaker.
  3. Pour the mixture back into the empty shaker, then shake for another 20 seconds.
  4. Pour each serving into a highball glass and top off with Eska sparkling water.

Presentation tip: Garnish the glass with a cinnamon stick and coffee beans.

Under the mistletoe

This comforting cocktail stirs up honey, thyme, and rosemary. It’s the perfect drink for a fireside sip!

Ingredients

For the cocktail

  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1.25 oz Campari amaro
  • 0.25 oz Lustau sweet vermouth
  • 0.5 oz egg white
  • 1 oz honey-rosemary syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • Eska sparkling lemon water, to taste

For the honey-rosemary syrup

  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup wildflower honey
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme

Instructions

For the honey-rosemary syrup

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add the honey.
  3. Once the honey has dissolved, add the remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 8 minutes. The longer you simmer, the tastier it gets.
  4. Strain the mixture using a sieve.
  5. Pour the mixture into an airtight container. Can be stored for up to one month.

For the cocktail

  1. In a shaker, crush the rosemary with a pestle.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker. Fill it with ice, then shake well.
  3. Strain the mixture into a separate glass, then remove the ice from the shaker.
  4. Pour the mixture back into the empty shaker, then shake for another 20 seconds.
  5. Pour each serving into a small glass. Top off with Eska sparkling lemon water.

Frozen lake

Vanilla, chocolate, and pine come together to create this tasty cocktail, making it one of our all-time favourites.

Ingredients

For the cocktail

  • 0.75 oz Galliano vanilla liqueur
  • 1 oz white crème de cacao
  • 1 oz whipping cream
  • 0.25 oz pine syrup
  • Eska sparkling lime water, to taste

For the pine syrup

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup chopped pine needles

Instructions

For the pine syrup

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add the sugar.
  3. Once the sugar has dissolved, let it cool.
  4. Add the pine needles, then let the mixture sit for 24 hours.

For the cocktail

  1. Add all of the ingredients to the shaker. Shake well.
  2. Strain the mixture into a martini glass. Top off with Eska sparkling lime water.

Presentation tip: Garnish the glass with a cinnamon stick and coffee beans.
